Offsite construction refers to the manufacturing, planning, design, fabrication, and assembly of building elements that may be prefabricated offsite and transported to site, or may be assembled on site and transported to the final location.
Offsite construction (like onsite construction) can be used for residential, educational, health care, and commercial purposes. The number of modular units in a building can range from a few to several hundred. A building can have many stories and can be arranged in various architectural configurations.
