RIBA's Viewpoint Competition...

The competition sought the best view from a newly completed building and ADG entered the Godolphin Arms in Marazon, Cornwall. ADG made it on to the long list of 20, and it looks like we caused a bit of debate amongst the judges, Will Alsop, international architect, Helene Binet and Jonas Lencer of dRMM.

"This was particularly difficult when considering entries such as the Godolphin Arms in Marazion, Cornwall, with it's breath-taking views of St Michael's Mount. Here judges appreciated the way that Architects Design Group's renovation work at the Godolphin Arms had opened up stunning, previously under-utilised beachside views of Mount's Bay - 'It's very arresting... but you almost can't go wrong with it' said Alsop."

STEM Building's New Fly-through...

ADG are pleased to announce the completion of the new STEM Building fly-through for City College Plymouth.

The fly-through has been developed in-house using several 3D modelling packages in order to gain a realistic, dynamic movie that ADG were able to hand over to the college.

Devonport Health Centres Opens its Doors...

Devonport Health Centre has recently completed. The building, which provides a new Primary Care facility and self-contained pharmacy is prominently located between the existing Cumberland Centre and Peninsula Dental School.

Marlborough Street GP Surgery has relocated to the new building and this will greatly improve access to GP and health services and also provides an opportunity for the practice to deliver expanded and enhanced services and treatments.

ADG worked closely with the end users throughout the design and construction stages to ensure that their new building provides a dramatically improved environment for staff and a welcoming facility for patients.

Seaton Hill...

A new heart for Derriford, Seaton Hill is proposed as a new District Centre located as a centrally developed site for the area, serving the developing local community as well as the large scale users of Derriford District Hospital and the surrounding Science and Office Campuses.

The development encompasses a new central boulevard and central square which is in turn supported by a new Waitrose Store as well as potentially a new The Range and new training facilities for the CDS Group.

A centralised retailing offer is also enhanced by the inclusion of other leisure uses including cafes and bars and a new 16,000 sqft Gym proposal. A Local Library and Community area is also included along with residential accommodation.

Pre Planning Submision negotiations have taken place over the last 12 months and following a very successful and well supported Public Consultation process over two month earlier in 2015, a Planning Application is proposed to be submitted in early 2016.

Stainless Fabs Ltd are based in Plymouth and cater for the bespoke design and build of all Stainless steel and aluminum products. The business has been established in Plymouth since 2004 and operates from a 1.3 thousand square meter workshop and design facility near the City centre.

Adgective were recommended from another client, and Stainless Fabs Ltd commissioned Adgective to produce a new website which was fully optimised for desktop, mobile and tablet screens, and also maximised their high quality designs and fabrications through a new gallery of images.

The design had to reflect their precision designs and fabrication skills by using strong imagery and copy. The primary goal for the site was to attract potential new clients to the business such as larger house builders and commercial clients, and by using good SEO skills Adgective have increased visits to the site.
