Cert No. 1671, ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is an international standard to evaluate an organisation's environmental management system, and applies both in relation to the running of the firm (reducing the use of resources, minmising waste, recycling, and using environmentally sound sources) and in terms of the buildings we design (where we have a duty to consider the environmental aspects of design in terms of local environment, re-using materials, recycling, new materials/technologies and reducing reliance on non-renewable sources for materials and control of the internal environment of buildings).
The standard is awarded for an organisationís commitment to environment standards. It requires organisations to demonstrate that it can identify and control the environmental impact of its activities, continually improve its environmental performance, and take a systematic approach to setting and achieving environmental objectives.
Overall this accreditation formalises an ethos with which ADG has operated for some time and will reassure clients of our practice's positive environmental stance.
"ISO is an internationally recognised standard and the auditing process is rigorous. Achieving ISO 14001:2004 is a guarantee to clients of how seriously ADG takes its environmental responsibility."
