University of Exeter Cornwall House

Cornwall House is the existing Students Union Building (Student Guild) on the University of Exeter Streatham Campus. Constructed in the late 1960’s the building had been identified as being the worst thermally performing building within the Universities portfolio.

The University achieved funding through a Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) bid process that put specific timescales for delivery onto the University and their Consultant Team.

The project entails the improvement of the buildings thermal and operational usage by an M&E reconfiguration and architectural overcladding of the buildings façade and existing roof construction. The Building remained in occupation and use during the construction process.
